Daniel Chan, CEO

Daniel is the CEO of Lion Global Investors. Daniel is a highly respected individual in the Singapore market who has been in the asset management industry for over 30 years, having spent 19 years as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of UOB Asset Management Ltd. From 2000 to 2004, he was also a Chairman of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS).

Daniel is a veteran in the fund management business in Singapore. He was instrumental in the establishment of Lion Global Investors through the merger of the asset management businesses of two Asian financial stalwarts, Great Eastern Holdings and OCBC Bank.  Under his leadership, Lion has succeeded in establishing its position as an Asian fund specialist. Daniel was directly responsible for developing and implementing Lion’s investment philosophy, process and style. He has put together a team of highly experienced investment professionals thereby making Lion a trusted investment manager for all seasons.

Simon Flood, Chief Investment Officer

Simon is the Chief Investment Officer. Simon has more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, having worked for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers 'MLIM', formerly Mercury Asset Management, in London from 1990 to 2004 where he held a number of key investment roles within the Equity Division. He was subsequently appointed Chief Operating Officer of MLIM’s Asia ex Japan business. At Lion, Simon is responsible for overseeing the investment management function.

Janet Liem, Head of the Asian Equities 

Janet has a Bachelor of Social Sciences [Economics and Statistics] from the National University of Singapore and holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of New South Wales. She has more than 20 years of investment experience, spending 12 years at UOB Asset Management prior to joining Lion Global Investors.

Janet leads the investment team in formulating the investment philosophy and process and is responsible for managing a dedicated team of 14 investment professionals. The investment team has an average of more than 10 years of financial industry experience. The overall team consists of six country specialists and nine sector specialists.
